Thank you for visiting us at www.ababystepadoption.com (the “Site”), which is operated by Adoption Associates, LLC. Your privacy is important to us, and we want to ensure that you are aware of and understand our practices on how we gather, collect, use and share information that relates to you and could identify you and be considered your “Personal Information.” This Privacy Policy relates to Personal Information we obtain because you communicate with us through the Site, via contact form, email, or through other electronic means. When you access the Site to communicate with us, we may collect information from you. This may occur in various ways, including using the Site, retaining us to provide legal services, contacting us to request information, or communicating with us relating to a member of our team or one of our clients or an organization of which we are a member. Specifically, we may collect Personal Information that you submit to us through the Site, including information you share when you opt to contact us via the Site or you sign up or agree to receive our newsletters, blogs or other communications. The information we collect or process through the Site can be in many forms such as the following, although this is not an all-inclusive list:

You may not transmit sensitive Personal Information (e.g., social security number, information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, biometrics or genetic characteristics, criminal background or trade union membership) to us through the Site. If you send us information that we would consider, in our sole discretion, to be sensitive Personal Information, we reserve the right to delete that information from our system. If you believe you have provided us with such information by mistake, please contact us and we will make a good faith effort to delete the information from our system.

The Site is not intended to be used or accessed by anyone under age 18, and we do not intentionally collect, retain or share information from anyone under age 18. If you believe that we have been provided with such information, please contact us immediately and we will make a good faith effort to delete the information from our system.

We use Personal Information for our legitimate business purposes, including the following:

  • To fulfill our legal and compliance obligations

  • To recruit personnel
  • To manage and personalize your experience on the Site
  1. Disclosure of Information and Compliance with Laws

We currently have offices in Reading, Pennsylvania and Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. We do not have offices elsewhere. Personal Information that we collect may be shared between and among our offices and in our network, including offices we may open in the future. We will not sell your Personal Information to anyone else for any purpose.

We may share your information with third parties as required to comply with applicable law and for our legitimate business purposes, such as hosting the Site or supporting our IT systems. In addition, we may need to share your information with others, such as local counsel or third party providers of support services, who support us in representing clients by providing services such as photocopying and document review. We may share Personal Information with organizations that collaborate with us to host events and with our own professional advisors.

We do not usually work with clients or third parties outside the United States, but from time to time, we may need to share information with or receive information from a location outside the United States and specifically within the European Union. By sharing your Personal Information with us, you are consenting to the processing and transfer of your Personal Information in and to the United States in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the Personal Information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information

We will retain your Personal Information for as long as it is necessary or permitted for the purposes for which it obtained. The criteria used to determine our retention periods include the length of time we have an ongoing relationship with you, when we have a legal obligation to which we are subject or as advisable in light of legal requirements.

The Site may contain links to third party websites and applications of interest that are not affiliated with us. Once you have used these links to leave the Site, any information you provide to these third parties is not covered by this Privacy Policy, and we cannot protect the safety and privacy of information that you provide to a third party. Before visiting and providing any information to any third party websites, you should inform yourself of the privacy policies and practices (if any) of the third party responsible for that website, and should take those steps necessary to, in your discretion, protect the privacy of your information. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties, including other sites, services or applications that may be linked to or from the Site.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Revised” date at the bottom of this Privacy Policy. Any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Privacy Policy on the Site, and you waive the right to receive specific notice of each such change or modification. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates.
